If you like to find out, how it is to live "off grid" then this web page is for you.
As I get many questions as to how it is possible to live in a modern world with all the mod cons but without mains electricity, I decided to write down my experiences, good and bad, to help others that might need some help or are intrigued to live a life without electricity bills and at the same time doing something for our environment.
My main interest is of course
in solar power, hence the title of the page solarpower guy,
but with solar panels alone you can not really live
comfortably if you do not want to spend a small fortune on
batteries and the solar panels themselves.
So a lot of thought is given to wind power and, yes,
generators, even if they run on fossil fuels. It is not as
bad as one would think.
